Each year, Kitchen & Bath Design News (KBDN) selects industry professionals who are recognized for their mentoring, education, design and the ability to lead the industry through challenging times. This year marks their sixth annual “Class of Innovators” and we’re proud to share that our own Elizabeth Jennings is being honored as a top innovator! The past year brought more challenges than most with unprecedented project numbers, record high inflation in material costs, and labor shortages. The top professionals in this industry stand out by rising to these challenges and setting the standard for excellence across the board. They continue to stay on the cutting edge of design trends through seminars, mentoring programs, and educational initiatives.
Each of the 24 innovators selected for 2022 were nominated by their peers and then reviewed by the KBDN nominating committee. Among this extraordinary group of individuals committed to moving the kitchen and bath industry forward is Elizabeth (Liz) Jennings who has spent 32 of her 42 years as a kitchen and bath designer with us at The Muir Showrooms at Milford Lumber. Liz’s title may be designer but beyond that she strives to keep current with the latest trends and act as teacher and mentor to others as she shares her deep industry knowledge. Her clients can attest to her excellent work as many of them have come back two or three times to redesign their homes as trends change. Among her peers she has helped seasoned designers create distinctive layouts and has created a rapport with the contractors that she works with on a regular basis making each project a seamless process. As the preferred style of living evolves for customers, many have expressed their desire to age gracefully in their homes. Liz took the time to become an expert in accessible design in order to meet these client needs in both new construction and remodels.
Liz thoroughly enjoys the work that she does but is always pushing herself to learn and grow, which is what makes her a top innovator. Her lifetime goal is to become a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer and we can’t wait to see her continue on her journey toward this goal. We’re proud that Liz is being recognized by Kitchen & Bath Design News for her hard work, desire to keep learning and sharing knowledge to better the industry as a whole.
